Overview:

The Department of Natural Resource Management covers the main stream of agricultural sciences (viz. Agronomy, Soil Science & Animal Science). The department  impart education to under graduate students in soil chemistry, soil fertility management and crop production, weed management and management of animal resources and their produces. The department also offers P.G programme in Agronomy and Soil Science.

Department trains the student for scientific understanding of the problem and to render the appropriate solutions in the field of Soil Science, Agronomy and Animal Science. The main activity of the department is teaching the U.G and P.G students, conducting research in concerning subjects and dispensing the scientific knowledge to farmers of the locality.

Mission:

The mission is to transform the students by creating conducive conditions to gain specific knowledge related to Agronomy, Soil Science and Animal Science.

Vision:

To  augment the proficiency of students and design to foster the skill and adoption of scientific agriculture.

Objective:

Ĝ To disseminate latest knowledge about soil, crop and animals among the farmers.

Ĝ To develop sustainable practices of agriculture suited to the agro climatic regions of M.P with a focus on marginal farmers and landless poor.

Ĝ To use bio-fertilizer for sustainability.

Ĝ To improve animal resource (breed and conservation)

Ĝ To  alleviate poverty through agro-based secondary sector, wasteland reclamation and non-conventional avenues like fisheries, poultry and other animal husbandry activities.

Career Opportunities:

Enormous opportunities are available in government and private sector. The pass out students are placed in pesticides company, seed company, banking sectors and watershed management projects.
